I'm sure you would like some of the old zombie movies. The one I mentioned previously has actors that act very simmilar to the employees who worked in Castle Dracula. Do you have a net flicks account? I could post a list of recommended movies.

Some of those old zombie and monster movies actually were pretty darn scary! The original Night of the Living Dead, I just never forgot. Back when I was a kid, most of the movies were about HUGE insects, people, etc. from radiation. What about the incredible Shrinking Man? Have that one?

Some of those old zombie and monster movies actually were pretty darn scary! The original Night of the Living Dead, I just never forgot. That one is pretty tame but I suppose at the time it could have been thought of as being pretty extreme. I believe it was quite a departure from what was out at the time. Shrinking Man.... No, not on DVD or VHS however I may have seen it on MST3K. I specificly remember a simmilar movie that was played on MST3K which was about a growing man where half his face was ripped off. This was in black and white from around the same time I believe. The monster movies back then always seemed pretty hoaky to me even before I saw my first real "horror" movie, Creepshow (Which is more of a comedy but Nathan gave me nightmares). Those 1950s movies weren't that intense and were quite family friendly. I have a small amount of horror movies from this time which I picked up at varioius dollar stores. I really aught to make an Excel file of my movie collection for times like this but heres a short list of my favorites: Zombie Movies: Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things Burial Ground Oasis of Zombies Zombi Zombi 3 The Beyond Night of the Living Dead (orig and 1990) Dawn of the Dead (orig) Day of the Dead C.H.U.D. Hell of the Living Dead Shock Waves Nightmare City Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 (comedy) Evil Dead 3 / Army of Darkness (comedy) Dead Heat (comedy) Return of the Living Dead (comedy) Return of the Living Dead part 2 (comedy) Return of the Living Dead part 3 (romantic comedy) Shaun of the Dead (comedy) Raiders of the Living Dead (comedy) House by the Cemetary (comedy) Alien Dead (comedy) Creepshow (comedy) Haunted Mansion (Disney comedy, believe it or not this had a pretty nasty zombie scene.) Cannibal / Torture (some of these are pretty discusting!! Will give you nightmares for sure! Watch at your own risk. I don't even like some of these): Cannibal Holocaust Cannibal Appocylipse Street Trash The Wicker Man (orig) Saving Private Ryan Hostal Saw 1 Saw 2 Saw 3 (not out yet, can be seen as a bootleg on the net) The Cell The Last House on the Left The Hills Have Eyes (orig) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (orig) Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (comedy) Leather Face The Mangler (orig unrated VHS version if you can find it!!! The R DVD version isn't as grizzly. This one gave me nightmares when I saw it as a kid! The VHS version was probably the most discusting movie I've ever seen! I only own the R DVD though. I felt cheated when I found it wasn't the same as I had remembered. I don't understand why it was re-released as an R when the orig was unrated.) Other: Hellraiser Hellraiser 2 Hellraiser 3 Hellraiser Bloodlines (the other Hellraiser movies are so-so and harder to find) Constintine The Gate The Ninth Gate Altered States Season of the Witch Those are the best I think... Just bought "Interview with a Vampire" today. I won't get to see it till next weekend though. I've also yet to see Scarface special edition and Reservoir Dogs special edition.

Shockwaves really gave me the creeps, though. You know Shockwaves all right! Zombie SS troops with cool looking goggles. It wasn't very scary IMOP but to each his own. It did have a great atmosphere which I liked and the sets were beautiful. Mangler was by Tobe Hooper.

The Mangler: www.imdb.com/title/tt0113762/Wow, this movie was written by him but directed by Hooper. I'm surprised as I'm not a Stephen King fan at all. Heres the page for Shockwaves: www.imdb.com/title/tt0076704/

Oh, I love Stephen King. I've read all his books and saw all his movies. How he comes up with what he writes about, I'll never understand. Have you ever seen Secret Window with Johnny Depp by Stephen King? My son loved the Mangler but thought it was a little too; let's say, unbelievable to me

Have you ever seen Secret Window with Johnny Depp by Stephen King? Since your such a die hard SK fan. I'll respectfully with hold my opinion of that movie. Pet Cemetary was pretty neat though because of the zombie theme and of course I love Nathan from Creepshow.

Stephen king made the Langoliers as a TV movie. I watched it and understood. The symbol was smeared in fecies on the motel door the next morning leaving only a little duck food in his abscence all horror was recalled.

It's not about the movie. It's all about the music. It's totally always about the msusic. In time... The 1980's twilight zone Tv show remake, there were some classic episodes. One with Bruce Willis before he was famous is great. I bought the first season on DVD, it was worth it.
They say their is no way a good horror movie can be made these days. If it's well written and borrows from realism then it gets categorized as a thriller. If it involves any plot deeper the some coward torturing people then it's categorized as science fiction or suspense. Saw, Hostel, Reststop, and every other horror movie I see at the rental store are all the same, they differ like saturday morning cartoons, different characters always doing the exact same thing over and over again. Back in the day you had unique and genuine story's with fresh styles. Pet Semetary, A Nightmare on Elm street, the Warlock, Jaws, The people under the Stairs, Psycho, Poltergeist just to name a few managed to stand apart time and time again. I will begin making movies when I get my degree from Temple.
