Splash Zone sucks without Castle Dracula. Splash Zone seems to be marketed to kiddies and families so fat chance we'll get Castle Dracula back. Den of Lost Thieves is a kiddie "family friendly" dark ride unlike the morbid Dungeon Boat Ride. Zombie World and the new Dante's look like the only truly scary dark rides now.

Someone should build a new castle in NJ, something like Brigantine. But where? Seaside? Point Pleasant? Wildwood?

And all teenagers should wake up and see how great dark rides really are, they're way better than some 400 ft. tall coaster or skycoaster where you swing on a cable. Too bad anyone under 20 missed out on the great Brigantine Castle. And anyone under 8 Castle Dracula (I doubt most parents would have taken a 3 year old in) And anyone under 20 Hunt's when it was complete. Heck, anyone who was born after 1980 any of the old haunted stuff in Wildwood besides Dante's, Castle, DarkRiver, Nugget. Good thing I was born in 1974 so that I could experience almost all this stuff, like Bill did.

I am obsessed with old rides and dark rides, not every park has to be a extreme thrill park, cmon, rebuild Hunt's Pier with dark rides and rebuild Castle Dracula. You see, WW was much better in the 1970's/early 80's when they had operating dark rides on every pier (none were closed) and there were no such things as inverted coasters or skycoasters, and the late, great Hunt's Pier was still in business under the original ownership. WW sucks now because no one wants to build new dark rides, except Zombie World, they just renovate the ones they have, and the Morey's are horsing around with the Golden Nugget while it sits and rots and no one gets to ride it. (Hey, how many of you kids under 8 have ridden the Golden Nugget?) Also, the Nickels and their horsing around with the Castle Dracula rebuild. I think they don't want to rebuild it at all. It's been almost 4 years since the fire and no action. And all this razing perfectly good 1950's motels (and restaurants) for expensive look-alike condos is sickening. I wish all the madness would stop.

At least you admitted that you're obsessed Robert. That is the first step to recovery.
As for the demolition of the old, moldy motels....that doesn't bother me that much. I would never stay in them anyway.

Splash zone is down right horrible. And as far as those old moldy motels, as long as we keep paying for them and getting crap in return there will still be some around for all the suckers.
