Does anyone have good photos of Dr. Bloods before the front was stripped off? I might be inclined to make an ~HO scale model of this. I would need some photos of it when it was in operation or at least before 80% of the front was removed.

Thanks Robert, those are a help. I would like to get the full version of that one that Ralph has, I'll email him about that. Geez, I wasn't aware there were so many 3D figures on that front! I may be able to make the building and maybe the cars but I'm no wood carver. If I were to do this I would have to learn how to do that or get Warren Renyold to do the wood carvings for me as hes quite talented with that. Not a project I'm going to do soon. I should finish my "Spanish Inquisition" darkride first which I haven't touched since October. The WW book, Your right, I forgot about that! Unfortunatly its a B&W picture on page 210. :/ If anyone knows of more pictures please share.

There's also a color shot toward the back of the book showing the entire Sportland Pier from the 70's and you can see Dr. Blood in color but at an angle. I haven't seen too many shots like that showing it when it was open. With the queue line in front instead of a fence. In one of the interior shots on Laff, in the first hallway, the red and white checked room with the colored square door at the end you can see the railings from the line, one with the exit sign. I'm surprised Anthony never did a model of Dr. Blood, he did Whacky Shack, Golden Nugget and Castle Dracula. I actually have a balsa wood model of Dr. Blood but there's nothing inside and it's based on the plain version. I used clay for the monster head and the one arm is lost. And the one balcony roof broke off and both balcony floors. But, I still have the parts intact on top of the roof. I also did a Golden Nugget model out of thin cardboard. Those are several years old. The top roof sags in on the Nugget. Anthony's is much better.

Can you poste a photo of your Dr Blood balsa wood model? I thought of clay for the monsters too, thats still tough as I don't know where I would find a kiln(sp) to cook it...
