robert, or anyone; has anyone ever heard of the website: www.amusementparknostalgia.com? I came across it from an article I read from the Historical Society of Berks County. A very interesting site with parks that are closed and just "sitting" there, developers waiting to charge in there (for the kill, I might add), and parks that have been gone for some time. Has very nice pics and great information.

In my day all we had was the black and white photo of a carousel and we were damn grateful.

Why do I have this feeling I'm being stalked?

In my day we were stalked by at least two different stalkers a week, and we were damn grateful.

God dang, could things be any more quiet around here? It's almost as desolate as the "Victims of malfunctioning toaster ovens" message board which I frequent every day [in my mad fantasies at least] Perhaps billboards on top of every building in the world would draw more attention to these here parts.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually have to agree with you, mclunatic. First I thought everyone was on vacation but, let's see, aren't we in Oct. now? This is worse than being in a morgue!
