I don't want to sound like a moron but why all this coming down on Anthony? Am I missing something here? Everyone asks me the same question. I have no idea how this all started. Maybe because my awful web site and message board as CV puts it. Is more successful then his own. No matter what the layout and the text mistakes are. No other site can touch the amount of images MrBoardwalk.net displays. Of course 90% of the images are courtesy of the Wildwood Historical Society. Images from the museum people would never see if not on MrBoardwalk, due to the fact they are on 35mm slides and stored in the archives.

Is all this Jealousy? I really, honestly hope all of you are just kidding around. I bounce back and forth to all different sites but I'm not going to put one down against the other. Guess I better shut up or all of you will be coming down on me.

This is another reason I love you Anthony...you have a very successful website. How much money are you making from it now? Are you pulling in any good donations? MrBoardwalk.net is not really about making money. However, I might have Polo shirts with my logo that is in the works. MrBoardwalk.net is a site dedicated to preserving the Wildwood Boardwalks history through photos and information. All images have the proper credits. I never claimed to be the best writer or anything after all I didn’t win the 1999 PSLA Outstanding Student Librarian Award or anything. My mission is only to provide a pictorial history of the Wildwood Boardwalk. So, what is the problem?

Mr Boardwalk and Crippled Visions, may I be a voice of reason at the risk of getting caught inbetween your war? I SUGGEST A TRUCE. Let's all remember that the reason why we all look at and create these websites is because we all share a love of Wildwood, the Jersey Shore, and haunted attractions. I would love to recommend a joining of your forces for the common good, which is preserving the great memories for our generation and teaching about the lost attractions to today's and future generations. (I know the joining of forces is probably asking too much at this point.) Hopefully, future generations will want to experience and therefore create the demand to build our brand of classic attractions. I just don't like to see people who have so much in common, seemingly be bitter foes. I feel that it is counter productive to what the goals are, that is preserving great memories and hopefully mayby being a catylst for change, that is mayby bringing back some great, unique, old time attractions. You never know,... if a person with the money was reading these sites and saw how much people miss the old haunts, mayby someone would build one for us,... we can dream.

Very nicely put, hauntfan. A wonderful post. All sites are different in their own way, but like you said, they all are about basically the same thing; the love of Wildwood, the Jersey Shore, and haunted attractions. Everyone should all be getting together and comparing all the memoralbilia instead of critisizing what each one has. I think every single one has alot to contribute. So I love Anthony, hauntfan, Cripples Visions, MrBoardwalk, robert, minion, etc., etc., etc., etc.

Yeah Clancy, healthy competition to spur someone to improve their own website is one thing but there isn't any need for one to be jealous of the other. D.I.P. and M.B. are both amazing websites. There is no need for one to be upset about the other. If the words between the websites were done in jest that would be one thing but I feel the retoric gets a little strong and hurtful and thats not what we should all be about. Lets all get along. Let's be about the memories and preservation, not anger at one another.

Well, maybe they called a truce because it's been a few days; on the other hand, they could be building up to the grand finale, who knows? I honestly thought everyone was joking around at first, but evidentally there seems to be some real rivalry here. We all need to act like civilized grown-ups here. But one this, PLEASE MrBoardwalk, could you PLEASE, at least take off the first picture on this Why I Love Anthony board? Everytime I go to this topic that first picture scares the crap out of me!!
