I found this site www.ukrides.info/Prater.htm and look at all the scary rides on there! There's a bunch of "ghost train-geisterbahn" type rides as well as a haunted mansion type attraction called Jack the Ripper. The park is actually in Austria. Sad news is that we lost several parks this year, like Myrtle Beach Pavilion, Erieview in Ohio, Pleasureland Southport in the UK, park closed, wood roller coaster just demolished, Whalom Park in Mass. wood coaster just demolished, site of park to become CONDOS. We're losing classic parks left and right and even a few Six Flags parks. What a shame. It's all about the $$$ what will be the most valuable on the land. The sad part of all the parks closing is that they all had DARK RIDES and the fate of them is up in the air and some might be demolished. I know the Erieview Bill Tracy dark ride was saved at least, it will be reassembled in a new building at Conneaut Lake Park in PA next year. dafe.org has the info about that ride. At least Dorney Park, Morey's Piers, Ocean City, MD parks and Knoebel's some of my favorites have no plans of closing. Good news is that Thrillville was just released for PS2/Xbox. It's an amusement park game like Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 but with more features. I don't know if it has dark rides in it yet but it might.

Hey, robert, did you ever go on the site: www.amusementparknostagia.com? Gives you tons of abandoned parks and what they look like today. Some of the pictures on there are just amazing! Anyway, how the heck are you doing?

I recall the day amusement park folks came to Hades where we had Tea. Hours later they proposed to buy an acre of real estate in East Hades, but due to the fact Black Sabbath music was blasting from every speaker I couldn't hear them over the music and the offer passed. But the 27th moon rose and so did N.I.L.E.S. Niles rode quietly in the back of his limo, a smoking ciggerette clung to his lip as the patterns of yester year grew lively and sprung to life where the best apples were apples and i will be there and mice and miceandmiceandmice
