I've read about how much it sucks, but what is it? Someone tell me what happens.

It's like somthing that a traveling gypsy caravan would travel with. It's a classic cheap shot amusement, it's lures you in with a promising facade that screams classic haunt ride along with sporting as a remnant of the earlier Wildwood era's of the 80's. So you give up like 3 or 4 tickets to get on (a roller coaster goes for like 9 tickets to give a comparison) You get and your all like "@#$%ing "A" this gonna be cool, and then you realize it isn't that cool.
The trick to enjoying this ride is to elimanate your expectations to be wow'd and amazed (let alone scared) before you ride. Just appreciate for what it is, a long overlived mini musuem of grade "D" carnival evil atmosphere. I don't even know if it's even gonna run this summer, wouldn't be surprised either way. By the way that pier sucks now, there's like only 3 rides that don't have to pay extra to ride.

Basicly you pay go on, you turn and you see a picture of a monster medusa thing. You turn and turn then you see headlights, you turn and turn and you see a guy on the electric chair, then you turn and see a guy puking, then you go upstairs. NOT! Then you leave. Just imagine that in 6 seconds.

Curse of the Mummy 3-D is pretty decent, at least for that pier. And pirates of Wildwood decent, each pier has a least one dark ride on it in Wildwood, tis decent

The Hunt's Whacky Shack (Hunt's Horror) was probably 100 times better than this ride. The Whacky Shack disappeared the same year this ride was installed, 1996. The Whacky Shack was scrapped according to Anthony, he saw it (the building and front) being pushed into a dumpster. However, most of the props were saved, I don't know who owns them or where they are. The Shack was scrapped about Winter-Spring 1996, and the dark ride Casa Macabra/now Jersey Junkyard arrived sometime for summer 96. The Whacky Shack started from this same type of ride in the early 60's and was made bigger, it had two sections that could be separated if it needed to be moved, which happened 1969-1970 to make room for the Log Flume, the Shack was across from the Nugget with Keystone Kops, and they were relocated closer to the front across from each other. I heard somewhere Morey's wants to replace this with a bigger dark ride. Remember when Castle Dracula replaced Grandfather with the electric chair guy in 96? I do. The year before, skeleton Grandfather was stomping at the end of the celblock hall.

I don't know if it was 100 times better, more like 46 times better.
