For those who haven't heard, Spooky World is back at a new home at the Bayside Expo in Boston, MA! No longer in Berlin, MA or Foxboro, MA. I went October 15. They really did a great job with the props, music and actors. It was by far the best dark ride(s) I have been in since the Brigantine Castle.
Once Spooky World open's the park it is set up so you may go through each attraction in any order you wish. they have Walkaround Characters and Monsters roaming through the crowds all night long. All haunted houses are available to scare you as many times as you care to wait in line.
Tickets are bit expensive: Adults - $24.50, Kids 4-12 -$18.50, Kids 3 and under - FREE. Well worth IMO.
Celebrity Guest include: WWE Wrestler, "See No Evil" Kane! R.A. Mihailoff" Leatherface" Oct 27, 28. I'll be there again October 28, 2006. Leather face will be in full costume and doing his act. I heard Butch Patrick from "The Monsters" was there on the opening week.
Boneyard Productions from Salam, MA did all the props and music. If you have the chance, come and see this at all cost. You will not regret it. It will take you at least 4-6 hours to see all the dark rides, @ 5 rides and a major magic show. The hundreds of Jack O'lanterns are awesome, too. I really like the monsters walking around like "The Night of the Living Dead" To funny! The actors are very, very good. Make-up is spectacular. I can't wait to go back.
They have a huge food court. From pizza to funnel Cakes and burgers to Pasta. I would eat something before you pay to get in. The food is expensive. A large soft drink is $4.25 and a slice of Pizza will set you back $5.25. We didn't care. We indulged all night long, a total of 6 hours a matter of fact. Don't bring young pre-k kids. The actors are very good at what they do. They play their roles in character no matter what. Also, they are the only haunted attraction to sell "Monster Protection Necklaces". By Purchasing one inside and wearing it, the monsters know not to focus on you. But that doesn't stop them from looking and acting down right scary.
