While that site still has info on it, everything is being re-located back to our official site, which we recently re-opened. The official site is www.hollowgraves.comIt currently only lists the information about our Halloween opening but there is more to come!

Does anyone know if Hollowgraves found a new location yet?

Well, obviously it's too late for us to do anything this summer. Can't say much about what's going on for us, since nothing is set in stone yet, but I CAN say we're mostly likely going to have a location for Halloween this year in the Sussex County area. There have also been several offers for future locations, including summer location, that we're mulling over at the present time.
Thanks for you curiousity! Can't wait to get back to running it and scaring the hell out of all of you!

John-
If I were you I would again look into trying to permanently setting up shop in Wildwood. I would suggest perhaps talking to the Nickels. Mayby you could put your haunt where Castle Dracula was and expand it to two stories. That would be a high profile area, it would breath life back into that area again. The other two independent from the Morey's pier operators are Casino Pier and Sportland Pier, which is a little far from the center of the action but both Casino and Sportland piers are dead and a high quality haunt could breath new life into either one a perhaps start a independent operator renaisance in Wildwood. Your haunt would be a new instant classic. Wildwood needs a good walk through haunted house, it just hasn't been the same since the Castle burned down. Please, seriously consider these ideas. I believe they would be good business descisions for you.

Do you really think the Nickels will let yet another outsider put something on their property?? They are still in litigation with the Splash Zone people!

hauntfan,
who says we haven't already looked into Wildwood? Could that be one of the possible locations or offers I spoke of? Only time will tell!

For me,the closer Hollowgraves Manor is to Monmouth County the better. But it would still be worth the trip to Wildwood. It would be great if you guys could team up with the Castle Dracula crew, but Fish has a good point and the Nickles would shurely try to offer you a raw deal.

Fish- It was mostly just wishful thinking and throwing ideas out there. I think the Nickles and their Splash Zone adversaries are being ridiculous and stupid in that they are wasting what COULD BE a great location with a pathetic trampoline. A trampoline? Give me a break. This is Wildwood, the place where in the late 70s it was the epicenter of the most competitive amusement market in the World. A place where you had about 7 completely independent operators vying for the tourist dollar by creating unique, one of a kind attractions. Why can't it be that way again? Why can't it be like Orlando north but on a smaller scale a budget? It can be, it just takes people with some vision, guts, and lets face it, money. But most of all it takes a unique attraction to draw people in and the Hollowgraves Haunted Manor is a first class haunted walk through, one of the last in a great line of haunts that once lined the Jersey shore from north to south.

It really is a sad thing to see all that space, and not just the Castle site, going to waste. The Morey's have the land that the old theaters stood on, and it's just sitting there, too. Every time I go down Atlantic Ave, or round the corner at Ceder and the B'Walk, I look that way to hopefully see some sign of any sort of devlopment.

Yeah, go look at pictures of those theaters while they were up and running, they totally made Downtown feel like a happening destination, now it's desolate and dead over there. I hope they build something better then condo's there, that's an ideal location to revamp the area. A coffeehouse with live music or a booze club of sorts, doesn't really matter. Modern motel/hotel, shopping stores, restaurant, or even better a pit full of pissed off Hippopotomisses that don't dig drunk pissed off McEscapee's jumping around in their place of limits.

Well, we won't be hooking up with any other haunted attraction crews, such as Castle Dracula, but Wildwood is definitely a dream location for us. That's not to say that we wouldn't consider hiring people that had worked that attraction in the past but I wouldn't anticipate us bringing a big crew in from there. Let's not jump the gun though. There's no certainty that we'll even be going there! haha!

It can be beat! I mean, granted, The Castle and Long Branch and all that, they were revolutionary attractions. But now, now! McLunatic enterprises is proud to bring you "The trans-atlantic boogie experience"! Yeah, it's like a keystone kops "it's a small world after all" kind of deal. Riders will board a float for the price of 5 tickets, then their off on a dark ride series of displays that instead of portraying haunt scenes or fun house stunts instead are a bunch of dancing rock n roll remake robots, imagine it....
The new dark ride begins in Wildwood NJ and then goes straight across the Atlantic eventually docking in Spain. On the way riders will be taken on an 163 hour journey thru 3,000 different rock n roll displays playing different songs.
