It seems that we'll never get to ride Dr. Blood's now, look here www.darkridethrills.com/page.cfm?pagea=6 It was going to be refurbished in 2004 but it didn't happen! There are too many things wrong with the ride and it needs a new roof. The owner probably can't afford it. Anthony said something about Sportland reopening the dark ride and getting a new coaster, but he never heard anything further. Sportland and Hunt's suck now.

Ted don't own the Go Karts he just rents out the space on the piers for them. Ted only collects rent.

Dr. Blood's and Golden Nugget are two great dark rides rotting away. What a shame. I think it's a money issue with Ted Snyder and Bill and Jack Morey as to why nothing is being done with these dark rides. They just don't want to spend the money. Morey would rather add an expensive new thrill ride to their piers such as the Atmosfear than restore the Golden Nugget.

I dont even think the moreys want to add an expensive thrill ride robert. They would rather add food and clothing stores like the all new san jam shop. They have really changed there direction. I think they are trying to change with all the high end building going on. They are trying different things to see how they work. At least they have the money to try new things. We will just have to wait and see whats going to happen to the nugget. I dont think its going to be good for all the dark ride fans. Dr bloods? Its never going to happen unless some crazy nut job with a ton of money goes in there and restores it for sentimental reasons. Ted synder reminds me of someone I know very well and Im telling you he isnt going to do anything with any of his propertys untill he gets his ass kicked off the island. He is a slum lord, He collects some rent on a couple of consessions and hes got the back of the old casino pier and most likley rents the space for the Go karts. Thats about it. he is just not going to do anything unless the city makes him do it. For example when the back of Dr Bloods got painted white!! it was because the city made him clean it up.

It seems that Hunt's Pier is being used for anything but rides. They build a new shop on it. Big whoop. There are plenty of shops along the boardwalk. They should have redone Hunt's the way they did Fun Pier such as add rides, new dark rides, reopen the Nugget but I guess they didn't want FOUR ride piers to worry about. Plus the changing demographics with all the expensive housing being built replacing the doo-wop mom and pop 50's 60's motels that attracted primarily a low-middle working class and party animals.
