Has anyone been on any decent dark rides somewhere other than New Jersey? Any recommendations?

Ocean City, MD has a ride through Haunted House on the boardwalk, it was built in 1962 by Bill Tracy the same maker of the former Whacky Shack on Hunt's Pier, etc. It has alot of day-glo stuff in it. There's also the Pirate's Cove walk-through behind in the park, also built by Bill. Then there's the Haunted Mansion in Rehoboth Beach built by Bill Tracy's successor, Jim Melonic in the late 70's. All three dark rides are great. I would say that all three are better than anything that Wildwood currently has to offer, except maybe Dante's. Years ago I thought Wildwood had more to offer than OC, MD and had better dark rides (didn't know about Haunted House, Pirate's Cove, Morbid Manor walk-through on pier now gone back then), but now I think OC, MD and Rehoboth has the better dark rides vs. Morey's lame-o Pirate's of Wildwood and Junkyard. There's a dark ride in Jolly Roger Park, OC, MD that's a bit better than Junkyard. Also there's a bunch of haunted attractions in Niagara Falls, Ontario including a Castle Dracula, House of Frankenstein and Haunted House plus a few more. I was never there yet. Virginia Beach has a few walk-through haunted houses. Seaside has a walk-through Haunted Manor and a ride-through haunted mansion as well. Lake George, NY has a couple of haunted walk-throughs, like Dr. Morbid's Haunted House and House of Frankenstein. After experiencing those I was pining for Castle Dracula Wildwood to return. They were great. Dr. Morbid's Haunted House has live actors and detailed rooms like Castle Dracula had, and Frankenstein has castle-like theming and detailed horror scenes behind glass, and a torture room, tourist trap room, rotating tunnel.

Haunted House in OC MD sucks. None of the stuff inside works.

Robert is great at recalling dates, names and places. He could be the next rainman.
