Dig it, who else out there likes the horror movies? For me the best Friday the 13th sequels were VI and VIII and as for the halloween movies, what the hell is the deal with halloween III? I loved it anyway.
But out of all the horror movie sequel movies I have to say the Freddy Krueger one's are my favorite. The original Nightmare was the scariest, but part II was funny considering all those suddle gay references, part III is when Freddy became less scary and more Iconic. Part IV was good, not scary but a good time, part 5 sucked, freddy's dead was funny.
It's been a while since a good horror movie came out, it's seems like that all these movies out now thrive on cheap gore and shock (but not in the stylish way it did in the 80's)

My favorites are the classic Universal stuff, classic monsters, 70's and early 80's zombie and horror flicks. Especially the Italian zombie stuff.
My favorite Fridays are 2+3 same with Halloween. Part 3 especially because of the Don Post mask involvement. I never like the later Halloweens because they never got the mask right.

Halloween 4 was kind of bogus, I mean what are the odds of Michael Myers finding his signature mask again in a drug store. That mask is actually a white painted William Shatner mask.

I have a weird habit of editing sequels out.The ones that don't make the grade,in my opinion, end up in my "Alternate Reality" catagory. For me ,the ones that count, go like this... Exorcist 1 and 3 Friday the 13th 1 through 4 Nightmare on Elm Street 1,3,and Freddy vs Jason. Hellraiser 1,2,3,and5 Highlander 1 only Halloween 1 and 2 Wishmaster 1 only Pumpkinhead 1 only Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein (I liked The Ghost of Frankenstein, but the Monsters demise in Bride, seemed to be the perfect ending for the series.) Creature from the Black Lagoon 1 and 2
With the Night of the Living Dead and Alien series I felt all of the sequels, were right on the money.

About movies, anyone got any home video of dark rides or haunted houses? I do. There's also a bunch of dark ride videos on YouTube. Just search haunted ride, haunted house ride, dark ride, amusement park haunted house. Not to mention the virtual dark rides on Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D.

Did anybody else catch the film Dark Ride? It was part of the" 8 Films to Die For"series. It was about some murders in a fictional Asbury Park dark ride in the 80's The begining showed some promise with old-school devil and grinning faces props on the attraction's exterior, but it soon lasped into a third rate ,typical modern slasher flick. The interior's props were pretty K-mart Halloweenie too.

Maybe movie producers have no clue how real dark rides were/are, perhaps it's due to so few dark rides anymore with more vanishing by the year, dark rides seem to have faded from public consciousness.
