Does anyone else just want to rock forever? I'm rockin to this Clash song "Clampdown" and it's just so 80's wildwood boardwalk. And it's like every one of these tunes just takes you to a better place.
Let's discuss rock n roll, what does the future hold for it? I believe in the near future you will see an emergence of new musical elements being created in response to cultural havoc. It's reinvention, which is a fundemetal key to surviving. Classical music and rock n roll and everything else will blend together.
The smashing pumpkins kind of did it on Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness. Yes also did a good job uniting genre's of music in a new hybrid of sounds. But then again it's like, the old stuff will always live. Favorites anyone?
The Rolling Stones "Emotional rescue" on youtube is good, it's alot easier to mention random songs rather then chose favorites.

Rock N Roll is dead. Lame EMO kids flashing Devil horns and snarling their lip in every Myspace picture are one of the reasons it's dead. That and no guitar solos anymore.

Your philosophy intrigues me, only I must disagree. You say rock n'roll is dead because a bunch of f*g**tity internet EMO kids have disgraced it with association. To me Rock n Roll isn't a specific form of music, nor does it follow any repetitive formula other then that it should be rebellious (especially to it's own stereotype) and of course full of energy and passion.
