www.putmeonthenet.net/Movies/ThorneshadowCastlehifi.wmv This dark ride is very scary. This is an example of what a dark ride should be. It is quite long. The guy that did this did an excellent job. The website has other videos of virtual rides and there's a Disney Haunted Mansion as well. I did Castle Dracula with the Dungeon boat ride in my game as part of a retro Wildwood recreation. Yes, it has Hunt's Pier in it's original form circa 1980. My Whacky Shack has scenes from the real Shack in it, using the billboard signs in RCT3 where you can add your own picture to it. And the track layout is almost accurate since Bud's granddaughter sent me a Whacky Shack floor plan. The Golden Nugget has the mine shafts and all. Cactuses on the roof, etc.

It's taking to long to download, I should probably just drive their and tour it. What i'd really like to see is a video of the old Castle Dracula in Wildwood, preferably with a sound track, commentary, behind the scenes footage, bloopers and out takes, specific instructions on how to build a dark ride, an intermission, a historical timeline, a free coupon for a small soda at McDonalds, a signed portrait of Dracula, and perhaps a weekly flyer updating the status of the Castle Site.

I'm really losing it here!!!!!!!!! I have to agree with the download, though. MAYBE I'll get to see it?? mclunatic4evr, you NEVER were at the Castle Dracula in Wildwood? ?? What a shame! But I really think you're asking for a "little" bit too much. I'm sure robert could probably dig something up for you, though.

I actually have toured the Castle attraction before several times. I can't remember when exactly, but i'm 20 now and I know i've been there a number of times in the 90's when I was younger. I remember being a teenager in the 2000's and not being able to find the castle and then I finnaly learned it burned down, bummer. But I have a somewhat decent memory of what the walk thru and dungeon were like. It was the last of it's kind on the shore, I don't know how much longer it would have lasted anyway. Down the shore it's easy come, easy go. And aside from the enthusists I don't think many people notice that stuff like this dissappears.

You don't know it disappeared if you never knew it was there. Now that was a very nice paragraph of conversation, mclunatic4evr. I knew you had it in you.

My paragraphs tend to make a lot more sense when I take my medication (vodka). And it didn't dissappear, or did it? Perhaps it rose into the air and shrunk into nothing like the house did at the end of that movie Poltergeist. And perhaps the fire was all a cover up, it never happened. If thats true the Castle will probably magically reappear some day. At least that's what my medication does sometimes.

Oh, well. I had such high hopes for you but those last couple of sentences really threw me. You have the most wildest and vivid imagination of anyone I've ever met. You should have been a writer. You're like another Stephen King. How that man comes up with all those wild ideas of his I'll never know!!

Oh, robert, I down-loaded the video. Very brilliant. Do you remember the Indianan Jones movie; I think it was the Temple of Doom? Where they road the coal car?? Now THAT was scary!

Fool on the Hill: There once was a man from Brazil Who laughed at the fool on the hill So late one night When the stars were bright The Fool moved in for the kill!
Evil Clown
Pies piled high in the sky The art of perfection seen through makeup No circus, no act, no joking around Nowhere to be but where clown fearer's be And here comes one right now!
Kamala Beast
Yae, praise thou sacred beast of the thicket For it is you who comes bearing teeth But praise thou teeth of justice Cockerspaniel you might appear to be Thou has not fooledith me For behind dog eyes lies the heart of a beast And in summer hatred there arose such a feast It's golden fur would appear to pur It's brownish eyes tellith lies It thinks no thought as it's prey is caught It senses fear as it approaches near It's only Feat is a mere dog treat
Guardian of Cheese and such
The guard of cheese disappered one day His only friend had none to say The cheese robbery left him missing While in his pants there was much pissing No one knew who took the cheese For tail clad demons aimed to please For one day many moons beyond The cheese gaurd crawled from lover's pond His hair turned white, His lips were gray He tried to believe he was okay But sanity he would never know For Mice had taken it long ago Yes, Mice were the one's who did it all Innocent, fury and very small But for cheese they would break all rules From cute lil rodents to ruthless ghouls And when the cheese gaurd was told to speak He stared in shock at a pretty creek They asked him if he felt like rice And all he could utter was the foul word "Mice"
The wrong island for a leper colony
Let them fetch us a Witch's cauldron Into it shall be poured the likes of Olive oil A dash of salt, a hint of pepper The time has come to cook thy leper

Gee, sorry I asked. Are these your "own" poems?? If so, they're not bad at all.

Did you see the one where someone made a virtual Disney Haunted Mansion? I bet I could do a virtual Castle Dracula, oh, I already started one. It basically needs the back walls and the roof. The castle theming in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 looks so close to Castle Dracula, including the top parapet walls. I took a virtual "ride" on my Dungeon boat ride with Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor playing (you can assign MP3 files to rides or seperate speakers in the game). There is night time, the dark rides are much better at night. I made a virtual Hunt's Pier in the same park and completed some of the dark rides like Golden Nugget and Whacky Shack. I have a floor plan of the Shack that Bud Hunt's granddaughter emailed me. With that I was able to build an accurate track layout for the ride in the game and place the props in their proper places. For some of the props I used a photo of the prop on a small square billboard in-game. There are different sizes of billboards where you can assign a picture file like bmp or jpg to them so that you can have your own ride logos, etc.

Wow, that's incredible!! You must really know what you're doing. My son does all that stuff, too. Did you check out minions website for Halloween costumes and set-ups? Some of those set-ups are thousands and thousands of dollars!!!!!
