I love the old school dark rides with the bang doors and musty smell and the electric guide rail and stunts that pop up. I just rode in one in Toronto. It's on an amusement park on an island that you have to get to by boat. It's called Haunted Barrel Works and it reminded me of Bill Tracy with the golden mine shaft, and the naked lady skeleton and the guillotine that chops a head off. It was built in 1970, so it predates my birth, I was born Jan. 1974. I hear Bushkill Park near me is rebuilding their Haunted Pretzel dark ride in a couple years. It was freaking destroyed first by heavy snows Jan. 2003, then Hurricane Ivan finished the job Sept. 2004. They still have the cars and track in storage.

robert, Do you ever ride roller coasters or anything or do you just run to the dark, scarey rides? Now me; there's NOTHING like a good roller coaster; especially the wooden ones.

Hey, robert, I have a good question for you; who was the first person to construct the first rail-guided "dark ride"? It "took patrons through a darkened building to view various scenes.

robert, you didn't answer my question. Also, what was the price Cedar Fair paid when they purchased Dorney Park?

You seem to forget that I'm probably 6 hours BEHIND everyone so when I'm writing this, it's 9pm, but on the east coast, it's 3am, understand? It's just that no one seems to be posting anymore. Guess because it's the good old summer-time. But, I'm still waiting for answers. Where is robert, anyway?

I've never seen someone so desperate to get Robert to talk. Usually, we can't get him to shut up. I think he trying to find a way to Hawaii so that he can stalk you Nancy.

There was a Disney Roller Coaster building program that I had on my old 486. It was very primitive and scenery building was certainly not an option. I did my best to recreate WW rides like the Log Flume, Dungeon Boat Ride, and the Italian wild mice. These recreations were extremely unexciting, I'm sure with the programs avalible today this could be done much nicer.
