Is it true that the Nickels are done for? I heard that Supercade is closing and Paul's Idaho Fries. I also read that Nickels lost the court case against Andrew Weiner, Wild Waves, Inc./Splash Zone Waterpark last fall. That means the Nickels have to give up the pier to Wild Waves per their sale contract from 1999. They were leasing the pier to Wild Waves but still owned it outright. Andy Weiner challenged the Nickels, saying that the Nickels agreed to sell them the pier in 1999, not lease it and still own it. Now, that means they won't be able to build a new haunt attraction because they will no longer own the land Castle Dracula sat on. So, while there has been a rebirth of haunted attractions in Wildwood within the past year, there will be no future attraction by the Nickels. (I was hoping for a Castle Dracula II, oh shoot).
