Yes. But, if you go to Niagara Falls, Canada, you can get scared anytime of the year, even December and January. Some of the haunted houses are pitch black and very scary. Others are more campy like the haunted houses of the 70's with elaborate exteriors.

Seriously, don't they ever have REAL haunted houses that you can tour? That was one of my daughter's and my favorite past-times; looking for REAL haunted sites and going there.

Real paranormal attractions are rather underground and can't usually be referred to in mainstream tourism directory's.

What are you talking about? Eastern Penitentiary, near Philly, and Lizzie's, in Birdsboro are known for paranormal activity and every year they have tours around Halloween. Go on Ghoststudy.com, Angelsandghosts.com, and angelsanddemons.com for some really great paranormal places, pictures, stories, etc.

Yes, but how many ghosts have you seen in them? I know I haven't seen any there. However I did see one in the Black room while I was developing me photo's for photo shop.

I have to really say that alot of times, you see what you want to see. I can stare and stare at some of those pictures and don't know what in the world they're talking about. But I DO believe in Angels, demons and spiritual activity. As a matter of fact I had one of my experiences printed in a book at Gettysburg.

This ghost didn't appear in the photo. It was actually there in the dark room, I didn't see it but it screamed and I screamed and I fled for the door tripping over of the garbage can which sent me even deeper into hysterics. When they dragged from there, my hair had turned white and I started seeing ghosts everywhere. This was right before I joined this dark ride board.

I really think it's a waste of time trying to be serious with you.

What experience did you have and in what book? Have you read the Ghosts of Gettysburg books?

I have read many many Gettysburg ghost story books and also other ghost story books. Elizabeth Matusiak is an author of Gettysburg ghost stories called The Battlefield Dead. She just released her third volume and my story will be in volume 4. I used to go to Gettysburg every chance I got when I lived in PA. I just loved that place; so much history! I had a couple of experiences where my camera wouldn't work at different places but that was about it. There used to be a Sheetz gas station across from the Jennie Wade House and one time, my daughter and I pulled in there to use the restroom. We were walking towards the door to the bathroom when this tall man went right in front of us. My daughter and I can still describe him like it happened yesterday. He kind of looked out of place because he had bib coveralls on, a red plaid shirt and a brown beard. We stood there and waited and waited but he never came out of the room. So I told my daughter to knock or see if the door was open that maybe there was a ladies AND men's room in there. The door was open and she looked in and all that was in there was a toilet and a sink and nobody there. She got a little panicky and said she didn't have to use the bathroom THAT bad and ran out to the car. Some lady was standing behind me to use the restroom and kept looking at me funny and I tried to explain to her what had happened. She looked at me like I really lost it. Anyway, I went in the bathroom and actually felt around the walls; thinking maybe he was an employee and they had another entrance or something, but of course there was nothing there. My daughter and I talked about this for some time and still do and when I read one of Liz's books, she has a form in there to fill out if you had any strange experiences to tell about, so I did. I really felt stupid but she called me and told me there used to be a farm on the corner there that was a black-smith and wagon shop. I looked in some books for old Gettysburg pictures and you can see how that place took up the whole corner there. Unfortunately, she said, in those days, alot of pictures of common folk weren't really taken so I have no photos to compare to what we saw. I really wish there were photos of the people who lived there, though, but then again, would I want to see them? ? Well, that's my ghost story.

I know exactly the gas station you're talking about. Some of the places really scare me there, like the Jennie Wade house. I've never had the courage to go through there. I've read the stories about Jennie's ghost. Every place I go into there seems creepy, although I've never experienced anything myself. Is that gas station still there? I'll have to check my Gettysburg book and see if there are any pics of that particular area.

I have pictures of the Sheetz gas station, when it was there but the last time I was up there, Sheetz was no longer there. I'm not too sure what's on that corner anymore. I think some little store or something. I have a really good Gettysburg book that shows you what it looked like in 1863 and what it looks like today; at all different areas. I remember when the Jennie Wade house stood by itself; then the one year I went up; there's this big Holiday Inn beside it. Didn't like that at all. Had a couple wierd things happen in the Wheatfield and Spangler's Spring but never at the Jennie Wade house.
