Odd would it be if I could find the preserved DNA of dragons, clone them with a special gene that allows survival without oxygen. And then we could send them to the moon where they would provide an endless night show every night of the year, thus ending Wildwood's legacy of being a summer-only resort, all year now! Translation please..

Earth will be torn down to make room for the expansion of Hell, and Hell's giftshop.

Dig this Brigintine Castle.... Brigintine is this little nothing shore town north of Atlantic City on the Jersey shore. Yeah this huge amazing Castle stood, for what? like 5 years? Then it burned, but it's like amazing how it all came together as the thing it was. It was cool, and enjoy looking at pictures of it rising above thine atlantic waters from which the first of earth's life crawled!

Even if it only lasted 1 year Brigantine is still the most kick ass walk through haunted attraction of all time. I'd rather look at Brigantine pics than go to these lame ass modern Haunted Attractions.

Yeah, but there are plenty being lost, too. Skull Kingdom in Orlando FL was the closest thing to Brigantine and it closed last Nov. and will be razed for new homes. Almost all FL dark rides outside Disney are closing, Miracle Strip's Bill Tracy Haunted Castle dark ride was closed two years ago and probably razed after some guy from Alabama stripped the ride of the cars, track, and props he uses them in a seasonal attraction, the rest of the props went to a nearby fire company in panhandle FL. All these seaside parks are closing for condos or "new developments". Most surviving old dark rides are either at smaller family run parks or seaside beach parks. Myrtle Pavilion's Haunted Hotel was demoed in March after being there since 1978. They probably couldn't move it. Plus we lost Dr. Blood's at Sportland, etc. Kastle Frankenstein dark ride at Pirate's Fun Park, Salisbury Beach, MA razed 2004 for condos. Joyland Wichita's Whacky Shack's future is in doubt if the new operators choose to close the park and redevelop the site. It was the first Whacky Shack Bill Tracy built in the early 60's. There's also a Whacky Shack at Waldameer Park, Erie, PA which isn't going anywhere and a Pirate's Cove walkthrough like at Ocean City, MD. There's a new haunt opening in Hollywood with classic movie monster themes.

Yeah, it's like everyone thinks that the best kind of horror attractions now are when your being hearded through these dark hallways with actors screaming at you around some corners. Being jumped out and startled isn't really that imaginitive or scary, it's just startling and it pisses me off more then anything.
And a lot of the decorations are the same as others you see around, a return to custom made props and scenery should be considered. I don't see how it would be impossible to create a Brigintine type attraction because of insurance, can't they just build it more fireproof to get around that?

Yup, I call them "Dot.com Scream and Startle order from the catalog Haunted Attractions". There are a handful of places who custom make stuff, but most of the places just order from the Morris Catalog and have Midnight Syndicate playing everyplace.
Robert, The Monster theme place is going to be at Universal Studios. It will contain the classics plus some modern stuff as well. At least Universal is having the classic monsters involved for a change.

He'd be lucky to get 5 cents. I don't even think Robert would bid on that one.
