How about I start a list of all places with currently operating haunted attractions. Ones that are set up all the time. laffinthedark and dafe have lists of dark rides, but few of the live actor walk through types.
Niagara Falls, Canada Castle Dracula, House of Frankenstein, etc (better have your passport in two years)
Lake George, NY House of Frankenstein, Dr. Morbid's HH
Salem, MA Dracula's Castle, Witch House, etc.
Seaside Heights, NJ Haunted Manor, Stillwalk Manor
Virginia Beach, VA Nightmare Mansion, Haunted House
Myrtle Beach, SC Ripley's Haunted, Nightmare Haunted
Gatlinburg, TN Ripley's Haunted, Mysterious Mansion
Orlando, FL Skull Kingdom, Old Town Haunted House
Skull Kingdom in Florida is probably the closest thing you're going to get to Brigantine Castle today. It looks like a huge castle on the outside with a giant skull in the middle above the entrance. It has a large cast of actors like Brigantine did. But, for the best deal, go to Niagara Falls and get scared until you poop your pants. Some of these locations are a bit far off, but there's always the bus, or Amtrak, or airplane if you don't want to drive. Amtrak goes to Niagara Falls, Orlando, Boston, (commuter train to Salem) We really don't have any permanent walk-through haunts left in our area within a 150 mile radius. Unless you count poor old Seaside. Or that crappy looking Mummy attraction next to the equally as crappy Jersey Junkyard. Someone needs to build a giant haunt closer to home. There's a big market out there, the NJ/NY metro area has one of the highest population densities. Sure Dorney Park and Six Flags GA have their halloween haunts, but that's only in October, we need something big that's open in the summer.
