Well, it seems our good old president George W. Bush has decided to make it mandatory for everyone to possess valid passports to be able to go to Canada and return to the U.S. by 2008. We have two years to cross over to Canada by land (driving, walking, bus, train) at the falls to visit the haunted houses, Castle Dracula, House of Frankenstein, etc. without a passport.

Yeah, maybe I should move there so I can be by the freaking haunted houses all the time but as long as I'm a US citizen living in the US I'll need a freaking passport (in two years) to cross over to Canada and be able to come back. This is the problem, Niagara Falls is two cities, Niagara Falls, New York, USA and Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The Rainbow Bridge over the Niagara River straddles the border between the two cities, and the border checkpoints are on both sides of the bridge, one for Canada and one for the USA. All the haunted houses are on the Canadian side of the bridge, two blocks away. That means if this law gets passed by our (US) government, I will need a stinking passport (almost $400 for 4 people) just to be able to walk or drive 2 freaking blocks past the customs border area to get to the Clifton Hill street where the haunted houses are. I know this plan sounds crazy, but what do we have left in Jersey in terms of fulll-scale live actor horror walk-throughs? I've already been to most other places in the USA that have walk-throughs (Lake George, NY, Virginia Beach, VA, Wildwood former Castle) So, I'm ready for something new, that I've never been to before. Anyway, I was at Dorney Park today and they have their haunted houses and stuff open, they have lots of fog around the park.

Robert, why are you so worried about getting a passport? Are you trying to hide something....like the fact that you are wanted for murder in 7 states? If you do get a passport, can you post your passport pic?

Well, for one thing it will cost my family $388 total for 4 passports, and you have to go through all this goobldy-gook like if you're applying for the first time you have to go in person to a post office or something and bring proof of citizenship like birth certificates and photos. Right now it would cost us nothing to cross the border. All I want to do is go two freaking blocks from the border to visit the fun attractions. This terrorism thing sucks. Our good old prez, George W. Bush wants to protect our borders from terrorists getting in so everyone suffers. So that means in two years we will essentially be "trapped" within our own country (unable to leave the country to anywhere) if we don't have a passport. You need one to go to Europe, but right now you don't need one to go to Mexico or Canada. The whole point is that the haunted attractions at the falls are two blocks past the customs inspection area to enter Canada, and after two years we'll be unable to enter Canada without passports even just to go two blocks past the border plaza.

Why do you need four passports Robert? I thought your father is dead. Do you really think you will ever go to Niagra Falls? You've been talking about it for five years now and you've never gone yet.

No, my mom's friend. And my mom and her friend were there several years ago and brought me back a brochure showing ads for the attractions, like haunted houses, mini golf, ripley's, etc. My mom said then "someday I'll take you up there". Well, it's been 7 years and we haven't gotten there yet. When I asked her one year about going there, she said it's too far or something like that. One time I tried to see if we could make it up there. I didn't tell my mom where I wanted to go, just that I wanted to go away for a few days. We went on a getaway with no destination in mind. Well, we started out and we kept driving north through Pennsylvania toward Scranton. We made it as far as Binghamton, NY and my mom wanted to get off the exit. She said why don't we stay overnight here. It was mid afternoon anyway. So we stayed there in a hotel. When I said why don't we drive further she said I don't think we should go farther. When I asked the guy at the hotel in Binghamton how far is it to Niagara Falls, he said "about 200 miles". Oh well, sometime I'll try again. Last year we went to Lake George, NY which is north of Albany they have a couple of haunted houses, too like House of Frankenstein and Dr. Morbid's Haunted House but not as many as Niagara Falls. Long Branch and Brigantine each had one haunted house/castle, but Niagara Falls has about SIX of them plus other attractions.

Don't tell me that she left you by yourself.

We were away with a group on a camping trip. My mom's friend surprised her and told her he was taking her on a weekend getaway. When they were on the road he told her he was taking her to Niagara Falls. My mom told me later that they went on a bus tour that went through the town and she saw all these haunted houses along the street. Then I wished I would have went there instead of the camping trip, I would have had a ball. In fact it was the same year I was in Wildwood last and went through Castle Dracula. But it wasn't until I saw the brochure my mom brought back from the falls that I found out Niagara Falls had a Castle Dracula, too. As well as a House of Frankenstein, Haunted House, and more. That was also the same time I had just gotten a computer and internet. It was September, 1998. I was in WW June, 1998. Yeah, I rode the Nugget for the last time before it closed and went in the Castle one last time before the fire. When I saw the news about the castle fire in 2002, after some crying, I thought "That's it! I want to go to Niagara Falls where they still have a castle and more".

Can you imagine trying to date RWK's mom and have to put up with him and the mongoloid brother. No wonder they just took off for Niagra without telling you. The whole ride up there wouyld be you reciting dates and names in the car. Mommy's boyfriend would blow his brains out. Get that passport Robert and lose it in Niagra so they wont let your OCD ass back in the states please God Please.......

Yeah, it sounds like your mom's friend wanted some quality time with your mom and didn't want you and your brother along on the trip Robert. Does your mom still date that guy? Or did he head for the hills?

The Frankenstein eating the hamburger looks terrifying. I am already afraid to eat at Burger King because of E Colli. I still think a trip to your house would be scarier than any of those places Robert.
